MaakPlaats is a place for personalised residencies. Danspunt provides space for your dance laboratory 7 days a week, so that you can explore, innovate and present your work. We do this by providing studio space, coaching, visibility on our social media channels and offering you the possibility to show your work to a limited audience.
Are you a new creator in amateur or pre-professional dance? Are you a dance teacher who needs research space to find new teaching materials? Are you a professional dancer who wants to explore your choreography skills? Or maybe…?

How do I get started?
Step 1.
Before you register with MaakPlaats, take a look at our technical specifications and house rules to make sure our studios are suitable for your research. Then fill in the application form as fully as possible. Make sure your new project is defined and delineated.
Step 2.
Danspunt will check whether your application fits the MaakPlaats concept and resources. If it’s a match, we’ll look for the best dates together. All the agreements we make are set down in a user contract. You sign this digitally before the start of your studio time.
Step 3.
You will receive a personal access code that you must not share with anyone else. This will give you access at the agreed times. Are you new to our building? We will welcome you with a tour and discuss any questions you may have.
Step 4.
From now on, the studio is yours! Danspunt will leave you in peace to work, but we’re always available to answer your questions.
We See you!
During your stay at our studios, we ensure you and your project are visible to the outside world. Every Maakplaats resident gets the opportunity to make a short dance video featuring our dynamic Maakplaats logo. In addition, we create content together in the form of an interview, a tutorial or photos on our website and socials (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.).

All ages, bodies and levels are welcome at Danspunt. We aim to be a safe workplace where everyone feels at home, and we invite you to help us make this happen.
